2027 Chevrolet Corvette C8 Carbon Fiber Exterior Kit (Grand Sport) - Coupe

Built for the Grand Sport either way it left the factory: corner-exit or center-exit exhaust. Choose your Diffuser Exit at the top of this page and the kit ships with the matching diffuser. Nine pieces, nose to tail, in one order. Prefer to build in stages? Every piece is also sold on its own.

Check your exhaust before ordering. Corner-exit cars take FRL-C8SERD, the cut shared with the Stingray and E-Ray. Center-exit cars take FRL-C8ZRD, the Z06 cut. The outlets pass straight through the diffuser, so it cannot be adapted after the fact. Every other piece is the same either way.

Fits the 2027 Chevrolet Corvette C8 Grand Sport Coupe, corner-exit or center-exit exhaust (select your Diffuser Exit above). Does not fit Convertible models — the engine hatch vents, lower engine hatch trim and rear camera cover are Coupe-only parts.

Ordered as a kit, these cost about $1,300 less than buying them one at a time in Standard Gloss, and every finish upgrade costs less inside the kit than outside it.

Two Optional Add-Ons

Both default to No — the kit above is complete on its own. Add either, or both, at the top of this page and the price updates for the finish you have chosen:

• Rear Low Wing w/ Winglets — the carbon replacement for your factory low spoiler, supplied with the wicker bill winglets already fitted. Cheaper inside the kit than bought on its own.
• Z07 Dive Planes — canards for the front corners. Worth adding if you want the Z07 look. Also cheaper inside the kit. The Z07 package is a Z06 option, so on a Grand Sport plan on your installer creating the mounting points.

Why the Exhaust Decides the Diffuser

The Grand Sport was built both ways. Eight of the nine pieces here fit either car, so the diffuser is the only part that has to match your exhaust — and it is the one part that cannot be adapted after the fact, because the outlets pass straight through it. Corner-exit cars take FRL-C8SERD, the cut shared with the Stingray and E-Ray. Center-exit cars take the Z06's cut, FRL-C8ZRD. Select your Diffuser Exit at the top of this page.

How These Parts Are Made

The resin in pre-preg carbon is already worked into the cloth at a controlled ratio before it reaches a mold, which is what distinguishes dry carbon from a wet layup where resin is applied by hand. Curing under heat and pressure in an autoclave then consolidates the plies and drives out the air that would otherwise surface as pinholes or a patchy sheen. Wet processes set that ratio at the mold, during layup rather than before it.

The corner-exit diffuser is the part that tests it. Its outer strakes pass close to the exhaust outlets, and a strake edge is thin enough that an under-consolidated laminate goes soft there first. All nine pieces here are cured the same way, front spoiler through to camera cover.
