A full replacement for the factory GT grille, built from autoclaved 2x2 pre-preg dry carbon fiber and cut for the GT opening — not a Dark Horse part adapted to fit, and not a Dark Horse-look conversion.
Sits above the GT Front Bumper Inserts and below the Carbon Fiber Hood Vent. All four pieces come together in the Carbon Sport Front End Bundle Kit for less than buying them separately. Behind it, the Carbon Fiber Radiator Cover is the next panel in view once the grille is off.
Pre-preg carbon arrives with the resin already impregnated into the weave at a controlled ratio, so no resin is added by hand during layup — that is what makes it dry carbon. Curing it under heat and pressure in an autoclave consolidates the laminate and drives out trapped air that would otherwise show as flaws in the finished surface. Other processes introduce the resin at the mold, so the ratio is set during layup rather than before it.
This is the largest carbon part on the front of the car, which makes it the hardest to hold flat and the easiest place to spot a weave line that wanders. Consolidating a piece this wide under pressure is what keeps it from telegraphing its own layup.
