The strip across the top of the Dark Horse grille is the first thing the eye lands on from straight ahead, and it leaves the factory as painted plastic.
A direct replacement for the factory upper grille trim, built from autoclaved 2x2 pre-preg dry carbon fiber and matched to the factory part's shape.

Pre-preg carbon arrives with the resin already impregnated into the weave at a controlled ratio, so no resin is added by hand during layup — that is what makes it dry carbon. Curing it under heat and pressure in an autoclave consolidates the laminate and drives out trapped air that would otherwise show as flaws in the finished surface. Other processes introduce the resin at the mold, so the ratio is set during layup rather than before it.
This is a narrow part with a long run and a visible top edge, which is the hardest combination to keep straight. On a strip this shape, any softness in the laminate shows as a line that does not sit true against the grille below it.
