2020-2027 Chevrolet Corvette C8 Carbon Fiber Boomerang Engine Intake Side Vents (Stingray)

The C8 Stingray has some of the most distinctive lines in the game, and the side intake vents sit right in the middle of that look. Enthusiasts call them the boomerangs.

This is a direct replacement, not a modification. The vents replace the factory side intake trim at the OEM attachment points on your doors and fenders using your existing hardware — nothing to drill, nothing to cut, nothing permanent. No additional hardware is included, and none is required.

Built from autoclaved 2x2 pre-preg dry carbon fiber in a 3K 2x2 twill weave that matches the factory carbon look. Four pieces total, two per side, finished together so the weave matches across the car. These are true replacements, not stick-on overlays covering what is underneath.

Runs with the Carbon Fiber Side Skirts down the flanks, and is included in the Stingray Carbon Fiber Exterior Kit.

Why Autoclave Pre-Preg Dry Carbon Fiber

Pre-preg carbon arrives with the resin already impregnated into the weave at a controlled ratio, so no resin is added by hand during layup — that is what makes it dry carbon. Curing it under heat and pressure in an autoclave consolidates the laminate and drives out trapped air that would otherwise show as flaws in the finished surface. Other processes introduce the resin at the mold, so the ratio is set during layup rather than before it.

These parts span the gap between a door and a fender, which means they have to hold their shape against two panels that move independently. A four-piece set also has to agree with itself across the car, and that comes from curing them in one run.
