The outer openings on the Dark Horse front bumper are wide, dark and completely flat. On a car this aggressive they are the last plain surface left up front.

A direct replacement for the factory inserts, built from autoclaved 2x2 pre-preg dry carbon fiber. Sold as a matched pair, left and right, finished together so the weave and gloss match side to side.

Sits below the Headlight Surrounds and beside the Upper Grille Trim. All five Dark Horse front pieces come together in the Dark Horse Front End Bundle Kit for less than buying them separately. The rest of the Dark Horse range is in the Mustang Dark Horse (S650) collection.

Why Autoclave Pre-Preg Dry Carbon Fiber

Pre-preg carbon arrives with the resin already impregnated into the weave at a controlled ratio, so no resin is added by hand during layup — that is what makes it dry carbon. Curing it under heat and pressure in an autoclave consolidates the laminate and drives out trapped air that would otherwise show as flaws in the finished surface. Other processes introduce the resin at the mold, so the ratio is set during layup rather than before it.

These are wide, shallow parts with long uninterrupted runs of weave. A wandering weave line has nowhere to hide on a shape like this, which is why consolidation under pressure matters more here than the size of the part suggests.

Items that have been installed, used or modified cannot be returned. Non-standard carbon finishes are non-returnable once the order has been placed.
