Open the hood on a G90 or G99 and the cooling shroud is the first thing in your eye line — a wide painted part spanning the whole front of the bay. On a stock car it's the one surface nobody finished.
Built from autoclaved 2x2 pre-preg dry carbon fiber, this is a full replacement for the factory shroud: same span, same mounting points, same hardware. It's the only part in this range that changes the car with the hood up rather than down.
It isn't included in the Carbon Fiber Aero Bundle, which covers exterior aero only — this one is bought on its own.
Pre-preg carbon arrives with the resin already impregnated into the weave at a controlled ratio, so no resin is added by hand during layup — that is what makes it dry carbon. Curing it under heat and pressure in an autoclave consolidates the laminate and drives out trapped air that would otherwise show as flaws in the finished surface. Other processes introduce the resin at the mold, so the ratio is set during layup rather than before it.
An engine bay runs hot and gets looked at closely at shows, with the part lit from above and only inches away. A consolidated laminate is what keeps the weave reading straight across a span this wide.
