The outer openings on the GT front bumper are flat black plastic, sitting either side of the grille where they catch light from every angle.
A direct replacement for the factory GT inserts, built from autoclaved 2x2 pre-preg dry carbon fiber. Sold as a matched pair, left and right, finished together so the weave and gloss match side to side. Cut for the GT bumper specifically — the Dark Horse takes a different insert.

Pre-preg carbon arrives with the resin already impregnated into the weave at a controlled ratio, so no resin is added by hand during layup — that is what makes it dry carbon. Curing it under heat and pressure in an autoclave consolidates the laminate and drives out trapped air that would otherwise show as flaws in the finished surface. Other processes introduce the resin at the mold, so the ratio is set during layup rather than before it.
These are wide, shallow parts with long uninterrupted runs of weave, sitting at the outer corners where road spray hits first. A hand-laid laminate shows both problems here — a wandering weave line, and an edge that chips.
