With the roof stowed, the hatch vent stops being a detail behind you and becomes part of what you see over your shoulder. From the factory it is painted plastic.

This is a direct replacement, not a modification. The vent replaces the factory painted trim and mounts to the factory locations using your existing hardware — nothing to drill, nothing to cut, nothing permanent. No additional hardware is included, and none is required.

Built from autoclaved 2x2 pre-preg dry carbon fiber in a 3K 2x2 twill weave that matches the factory carbon look on your C8. This part sits near the engine bay and takes constant sun with the top down, so it is finished with a UV-inhibiting, high-temperature-resistant clear coat built for exactly that environment.

Fits the Convertible: 2020-2027 Chevrolet Corvette C8 Stingray, 2023-2027 Z06, 2024-2027 E-Ray and 2027 Grand Sport.

Convertible, Not Coupe

A Convertible stows its roof where a Coupe carries its engine hatch, so the two body styles do not share this area at all. The Convertible takes this single vent. A Coupe takes a matched pair of Engine Hatch Vents, the Lower Engine Hatch Trim and a rear camera cover, none of which fit this car. It is one part here against four back there, and nothing crosses over.

Why Autoclave Pre-Preg Dry Carbon Fiber

Pre-preg carbon arrives with the resin already impregnated into the weave at a controlled ratio, so no resin is added by hand during layup — that is what makes it dry carbon. Curing it under heat and pressure in an autoclave consolidates the laminate and drives out trapped air that would otherwise show as flaws in the finished surface. Other processes introduce the resin at the mold, so the ratio is set during layup rather than before it.

On a Convertible this part spends its life fully exposed rather than shaded by a roofline, so it sees more direct UV than the same area ever does on a Coupe. Heat cycling plus sunlight is what separates a properly cured laminate from one that prints the weave through the clear coat after a season.

Returns require our approval. Contact us within 5 days of receiving your item to request one. Approved returns are subject to a 30% restocking fee plus return shipping, and original shipping is non-refundable.

Items that have been installed, used or modified cannot be returned. Non-standard carbon finishes are non-returnable once the order has been placed.
