There are two C8 rear diffusers, and which one fits your car comes down to where the exhaust exits. This is the center-exit one.
This is a direct replacement, not a modification. The diffuser mounts to the factory rear bumper locations using your existing hardware — nothing to drill, nothing to cut, nothing permanent. No additional hardware is included, and none is required.
Built from autoclaved 2x2 pre-preg dry carbon fiber and shaped around the center-exit exhaust layout used by the Z06 and by center-exit Grand Sports.
Fits the 2023-2027 Chevrolet Corvette C8 Z06 and the 2027 Grand Sport with center-exit exhaust, Coupe and Convertible.
Which Diffuser Fits Your C8
The cutout in a rear diffuser has to clear the exhaust, and the C8 does not run one layout across the range. Every Z06 exits through the center, so it takes this piece. Stingrays and E-Rays exit at the corners, so they take the standard corner-exit diffuser instead. The Grand Sport was built both ways — check your own car before choosing, because the two are not interchangeable.
This is the diffuser supplied as standard in the Z06 Coupe and Z06 Convertible Exterior Kits, and in the Grand Sport Coupe and Grand Sport Convertible kits when you select center-exit exhaust. It finishes the rear alongside the Carbon Fiber Rear Low Wing, which those kits offer as an optional add-on rather than a standard part. Why Autoclave Pre-Preg Dry Carbon Fiber
Pre-preg carbon arrives with the resin already impregnated into the weave at a controlled ratio, so no resin is added by hand during layup — that is what makes it dry carbon. Curing it under heat and pressure in an autoclave consolidates the laminate and drives out trapped air that would otherwise show as flaws in the finished surface. Other processes introduce the resin at the mold, so the ratio is set during layup rather than before it.
A center-exit diffuser sits directly in the exhaust stream rather than beside it, which puts the middle of the part under more sustained heat than the outer strakes ever see. A laminate that was not consolidated under pressure shows that first as discoloration around the cutout.
