Why FRP
FRP is what most painted aero has been made from for decades, and it is the right answer when you want the shape in your car's own color rather than a carbon weave. It is strong, light, takes primer and paint evenly, and it is straightforward for a body shop to repair if it meets a curb — which is not true of carbon.
Side skirts are the panel most likely to take that curb hit. On a long rocker run, being repairable is worth more than it sounds.
