Why FRP
FRP is what most painted aero has been made from for decades, and it is the right answer when you want the shape in your car's own color rather than a carbon weave. It is strong, light, takes primer and paint evenly, and it is straightforward for a body shop to repair if it meets a curb — which is not true of carbon.
The trade is appearance, not fit. This is the same mold as the carbon part, so it sits on the car identically. What you give up is the weave; what you get back is body-color integration and roughly half the cost.
Finish
Ships primed in grey, ready for paint. This part is not offered in a carbon finish — for weave, see the carbon fiber version, available in gloss, matte, Honey Comb and forged.
